Club Renovation
Vision for the Future
Club architecture should evolve with member needs. Beginning in 2023, PHX Architecture, a luxury clubhouse and hospitality design firm, will begin Colonial Country Club's first major clubhouse renovation and expansion since the original clubhouse burned down in 1953. While preserving many of the club's historic features, the renovation will create new spaces to gather, update existing infrastructure and technology, and elevate the member experience for current and future members.
The expansion includes a campus-wide master plan featuring modern lifestyle amenities you won't find anywhere else in Fort Worth.
A Glance at the Past
Course Architecture
Prolific golf course architect, Gil Hanse, and his partner, Jim Wagner, will take on the restoration. The duo plans to bring classic course architecture back to Colonial, drawing inspiration from the 1941 U.S. Open course and the original architects' intent to design a world-class course.
